Cape Town, November 1 -­ Following a wave of gang violence at Zisukhanyo Senior Secondary School, residents of Samora Machel have taken security measures into their own hands. Parents say they can no longer sit back and do nothing about the violence. Every pupil entering the school is now subjected to a body search, administered by parents, who confiscate items like knives and matches.
